How to rewire your brain when you fall:
Yesterday our Cristiano (4) fell off his bike while riding at a friend’s house… He grazed elbows, knees, and there were a lot of tears coming down a dirty face.
After hugs and kisses he quickly brushed himself off and said “yes mommy I’m ok. And I’ve got even more strength now, much more than before”.
Little tyke got right back onto his bike and carried on riding and doing his thing. Looking forward and exploring his abilities even more.
Lesson: you’re going to fall while riding the wave of life. Sometimes really HARD. You might not feel like getting up again. It might be so painful to look at yourself and accept your fall that you would much rather not try anything risky at all. It might be hard to see That you ultimately brought yourself there. You might blame others. But deep down you know it’s all you. And it’s ok. Just like the little boy who falls off his bike in front of friends, he too felt the same way. He chose to draw strength from his fall and channeled it to his next ride! You can do the same! Channel all your fear, pain and sorrow. Remember little Cristiano and how he got up after his fall, grazed knees and all! How he wired his neurology to defeat his falls by getting up even Stronger!
You Can Do It! Never let your falls limit your wins!
